Rehearsal with a proper room sound
Most rehearsal spaces are built for volume, not translation. Our room is treated for recording, which means you hear your parts clearly through headphones and monitors instead of fighting echo off bare walls.
It suits bands working through new material, vocalists running setlists, and writers who want to plug in without apologising to neighbours. You can treat it as a practice session, or roll straight into capturing ideas while the arrangement is fresh.
What is included
Dry hire includes the room, interface, microphones, stands, headphone distribution, and mains monitoring. Bring your laptop if you want to record, or use the session purely to play through parts with better monitoring than a garage setup.
Tell us your headcount when you book so we can set up enough headphone sends. Smaller line-ups fit comfortably; larger groups should message first so we can plan layout and spill.
When to book engineer time instead
Dry hire works well for rehearsal and writing. If you want keeper vocal or instrument takes with someone managing levels and file handover, engineer sessions are £30/hr. Many bands dry hire to nail the arrangement, then book a shorter engineered block for the final recording pass.
Getting here and booking
Evans House is easy to reach from Warrington town centre and nearby towns across Cheshire and Merseyside. Free parking makes load-in straightforward for amps and cases.
Book through the online calendar or WhatsApp. Rates and minimum session length are on the pricing page, with no hidden facility fees at checkout.
FAQ
Is this a dedicated rehearsal warehouse?
No. We are a recording studio that bands also use for rehearsal, writing, and capture in the same room. If you need a long-term lockout rehearsal unit with no recording chain, message us and we can say honestly whether we are the right fit.
How loud can we play?
Reasonable band levels are fine in a treated room with headphone monitoring. Tell us your setup when you book so we can advise on spill and neighbour-aware session planning.
Can we record while we rehearse?
Yes. Many clients dry hire to run through songs and export rough multitracks the same night. If you want engineered capture, book an engineer session for that part of the day.
