Five things worth checking before you book anywhere
Ask what the hourly rate actually includes. Some rooms quote a low headline figure and charge separately for the engineer, the mics or the file export. Ours covers the treated room, monitoring, interface, microphones, stands, headphones and cabling.
Ask about the minimum booking, whether parking is free, how you get your files at the end, and what happens if you overrun. Those five answers tell you more about a studio than any photo of the live room.
How close are we
We are a few minutes from Warrington town centre with free parking outside the door. Runcorn and Widnes are usually about ten minutes, St Helens is twenty to thirty five, Northwich is twenty five to thirty seven, and central Manchester is often twenty five to forty five.
For most people in this area the drive out to us takes less time than circling for a city centre space, and the parking is not an extra cost on top of the session.
Dry hire or an engineer
Dry hire at £15/hr suits you if you already work in your own DAW. You bring a laptop with the project prepared and run the session yourself in a room that is properly treated, which is the part a bedroom setup cannot replicate.
Engineer sessions at £30/hr suit you if you would rather sing or play and let somebody else handle gain staging, headphone mixes and take management. Same room, same gear, different level of support.
Booking and getting your files
Pick a date and pay online, or send a WhatsApp message if you want to talk through the session first. There is a two hour minimum and access can run late or overnight when the calendar allows.
You leave with WAV files your mixer can open straight away. Mixing £60/song and mastering £40/song are on the pricing page if you want us to finish the release.
FAQ
- How much does a recording studio near me cost per hour?
- Ours is £15/hr for dry hire and £30/hr with an engineer, with a two hour minimum. Every rate is published on the pricing page, so there is no quote to chase.
- Do I need to bring my own laptop?
- For dry hire, yes. Bring a laptop with your project and licences ready. For engineer sessions we handle the session, so you only need your ideas and any instruments you want to use.
- Can I record vocals over a beat I already have?
- Yes, that is one of the most common bookings. Send or bring the instrumental and we will set up headphone monitoring so you can punch in comfortably.
- How do I get my recordings afterwards?
- You leave with WAV exports at the end of the session. Nothing is held back and there is no extra charge to take your own files away.

The venue is accessible with plenty of free public parking outside. Our host provided an extremely warm welcome and compared to other studios we have experienced, the room was modern and extremely comfortable to rehearse in. The cost was extremely competitive and we are already looking forward to booking our next session.
